Review: This book was very interesting and it made me want to read on and on. I would recommend it children between 8 and 11. I was sorry when it ended and wished it had gone on forever - it was one of Anne Fine's best books!

Review: This is quiet a boring book because when you get to the end when you think its going to end it doesn't and gets a bit confusing what is going on. But apart from that it is a really good book to read if you like getting stuck into a boo. It has lots of bits where you don't want to put the book down. The ending is a bit strang but it does sum the book up so your not left with a cliffhanger.

Review: A new girl called Imogen starts Mels school and Mel soon finds out Imogen has a gift but the gift is more like a curse. Mels willing to sacrifice her swimming race to get rid of the curse for her new friend.

Review: Imogen is new at the school and no one wants to be around her except Mel. Usually Mel spends most of her time reading books and prefers charaters in books than real people. Imogen has what she calls a gift but Mel thinks it's a curse. Mel reads books but Imogen just needs to touch a book and she can live the story. This can cause her to be distressed. Mel tries to find out how to save Imogen from her "gift".
